MONDAY PRACTICE, RITUAL,  & COMMUNITY
​Our Monday night yoga ritual began in May 2020 as a monthly series. It's offered an anchor for many women during this turbulent year.  It has provided an anchor in my week too. 

I’ve had some life experience (like we all have) and sometimes I hold that in my body and it doesn’t feel so great. Yoga has gifted so much to me over the years of practice and teaching and it is my honor and delight to share this practice with others.  

We return to some basics to feel rooted, rested, and strong, yet soft and fluid through all of life's transitions.
  • Breathwork
  • Core connection and activation
  • Movement to release stored energy and emotion
  • Stillness in longer held postures
  • Deep Listening
  • Dynamic questions to receive your own wisdom and release limiting patterns and beliefs

My aim in creating the Monday Night Respite and Reset is that this practice will help you know yourself and access your own inner wisdom to be present in, and with, your own life experiences--no matter what.

INTENTION, PRACTICE, & PRESENCE....
Each month is a series that is intentional.  We use our practice as a way to free our minds and bodies.  It's a way of self-study and holistic healing. And we explore the depths of the power and wisdom within the female body as we unravel layers of limitations that cover it.


My aim in creating the Monday Night Respite and Reset is that this practice will help you know yourself and access your own inner wisdom to be in and with your own life experiences--no matter what.

We meet live in zoom because the power of community practice is so dynamic and it’s always helpful to be reminded that you are not alone and have support. *(Recorded if you can't make it and we hold space for all present and watching later.)


We'd love to welcome you to this strong community of intergenerational women who gather to remember strength, wisdom, and center together. We're here and we welcome you just as you are.

PROPS to SUPPORT YOUR PRACTICE!
If you have yoga props (blocks, a bolster or cushions/pillows, blankets or towels) have them handy.
We always explore variations and modifications.  And you can stay after in zoom if you have specific questions.


2 Favs for connection and deep release. 
​(**optional yet both are minimal cost and will support you on and off the mat.)

    1) The Bender Ball (or other Yoga/Pilates Ball. 
     2) The "Acuball Mini" (you could also try a tennis ball or racket ball) as we'll roll out some tension.

 Release & receive in this delightful evening class where we fuse longer held yin postures with breathwork, core connection and energy practices to listen deep, return to center, and build inner resources to navigate all of life's transitions.

Together we explore powerful tools to help us cultivate resilience, while remembering we are inherently whole and there's never anything "wrong" with you or your life. You’ll find gentle movement, core connection practices to feel strong in center, stillness, powerful breathing techniques, guided meditation, energetic play, and silent pauses in this class.

​YOGA MEETS YOU WHERE YOU ARE AT.  Here's how I met Yin Yoga...

I discovered Yin Yoga by accident.  After we grew our family from 3 to-5 through adoption, sleep was a challenge in our home.  At the end of a day my body and spirit ached.  To help my daughters settle and support their nervous systems, I stayed in the room on the floor quietly taking yoga poses.  I found that just settling into stillness and exploring the pose deeper was delightful for me and seemed to really calm my kids as they listened to my breath.   Later that year, I went to a yoga conference and signed up for a workshop...and realized there was a name for what I had been using to help us all sleep and release tension.   How does it get any better than that?

​Here are my favorite 3 yin poses before bed and a sample from the June Yin series.  The class targets hips, pelvis, and low back with a psoas release focus.
