Why This Work Exists

We move through major life thresholds—motherhood, birth, adoption, caregiving, grief, loss, a move, health changes, relationship shifts, perimenopause, menopause and identity changes—without being given space to integrate what they ask of us.

In traditional rites of passage, there is always an integration phase.
Our culture skips this part.


Instead, women are expected to adapt quickly and move on, often while holding everyone else together. What doesn’t get digested doesn’t disappear—it settles into the body.

Root Rise Thrive exists to hold that missing space.
A space for witnessing.
For integration.

​Ayurveda is an ancient and time-tested healing system that views the body as rhythmic, intelligent, and oriented toward balance. When we live in relationship with natural rhythms—breath, seasons, cycles, and life stages—the body knows how to repair.

Many women’s health challenges don’t arise because something is “wrong,” but because the nervous system has been asked to carry too much for too long. We’re living in a time of too-much and too-fast --
   where information piles up
      and our bodies can’t keep pace.



In a culture that normalizes overextension, depletion can quietly become the baseline.

Then, when we meet major transitions in life, that imbalance deepens and we can feel fragmented—separated from our bodies, our rhythms, or our sense of belonging within ourselves.

This disconnection may show up as low energy, digestive or hormonal challenges, anxiety, sleep issues, emotional overwhelm, or a loss of joy and aliveness.

Meet Karla

I’m a mother of three daughters through birth and adoption, and I know what it feels like to navigate profound transitions while still tending to others.

Ayurveda and somatic healing helped me stay in my body through grief, loss, and rebuilding my life from the inside out. They taught me how to metabolize grief and joy simultaneously, and how to return to center again and again.

I believe the female body is wise, rhythmic, and organically intelligent.
I believe healing happens through connection, curiosity, and community.
And I believe you carry medicine within you—we uncover it together.

How We Move Through the Weeks

​MODULE 1 — Orientation: Landing in Your Body & Nervous SystemWe begin by slowing down and returning to breath, body, and inner awareness. You’ll learn the basics of your nervous system, your patterns, and how Ayurvedic wisdom supports the feminine body. This is where safety, pacing, and attunement root the whole journey.

MODULE 2 — Caring for the Senses & Sensual PleasureYour senses shape how you meet the world. Here you’ll explore Ayurvedic sensory nourishment, somatic practices to release tension, simple rituals that restore presence, and self-massage adapted for real life. You’ll learn how to cleanse and nourish each sense to support clarity, steadiness, and vitality.

MODULE 3 — Healthy Digestion (Agni)Digestion influences everything—energy, mood, immunity, hormones. Learn to nourish yourself on all levels–food, emotion, experience–through supportive meals, the six tastes, gentle digestive resets, and daily rhythms that strengthen your inner fire. Reconnect from the inside out and let it be fun.

MODULE 4 — Deep Rest + Evening RitualsRest is medicine. In this module, you’ll build an evening rhythm your body can trust: marma points for calming the mind, breathwork for softening tension, sleep hygiene aligned with circadian rhythms that are fun and work for you, and practices that help your nervous system downshift into true restoration.

MODULE 5 — Morning Rhythms + Awakening PranaBegin each day with practices that meet your energy, your cycle, your life stage and the season. You’ll explore ways to arrive in your body from bed, movement for your unique body/mind, breath to awaken prana, and morning rituals that help you feel clearer, steadier, and more resourced.

MODULE 6 — Mind, Emotions & The Female BodyHere we weave together the emotional, mental, and subtle layers. You’ll learn how daily rhythms support mental health, how emotions move as energy, and how breath and rest digest what life brings. We’ll also explore herbal and lifestyle support for hormones, the pelvic bowl, intuition, and returning to the joy and aliveness within you. Deep healing that moves through generations past and future.
