Learning to thrive so our kids can too
DISCOVER YOUR CENTER
Mothering asks a lot of us.
It invites us to learn, grow, adapt, and show up in ways we never imagined. To hold complexity. To stay curious. To support our children while navigating our own lives, relationships, transitions, and questions along the way.
It’s some of the most sacred work we do. And some of the hardest—especially when mothering comes through adoption, with its own intense transitions and complexities.
You love fiercely and are devoted.
You've read the books, attended workshops, listened to podcasts–on the nervous system, separation, trauma, attachment, and how to create safety for a child who has experienced loss. Many of us become experts in understanding and caring for everyone around us while quietly losing connection with parts of ourselves. It doesn’t happen all at once. It never does.
Some days your mind races, your body aches and your soul might feel…dull.
You've been the one doing the holding.
This is a place to be held.
In Their Words
"The word hopelessness is no longer in my vocabulary. I feel like I am truly alive again, not just living." — Amy C.
"I've been able to create sustainable practices that have really helped me step into my authentic self, thrive, and become a much more grounded and responsive mother and partner." — Jessica G., LCSW and Adoptive Parent
"Karla doesn't just teach — she radiates all that she shares. She lives this." — Hilary Mandzik, PsyD, Licensed Psychologist
Your depletion is not a personal failure
The tiredness, the hormonal shifts, the feeling of always being on and feeling stuck — that's what can happen when a woman's nervous system has been adapting and compensating for years without enough rhythm, rest, or support to metabolize what she's been holding. It’s not about doing anything wrong or not enough. It’s the feeling of survival.
Your body isn't failing you. It's been communicating with you—sending messages. And your body is incredibly wise and knows how to restore itself when given the right conditions.
Sometimes, it’s possible to avoid and dismiss the messages, or even manage some of the signs…until you can’t anymore. Or you just don’t have the energy.
There is nothing wrong with you. And this is very, very workable.

Coming Back to Rhythm
When life has been outpacing your body
What if our children could witness us fully thriving?
Not surviving. Not managing. Present. Curious. Connected. Alive.
When we center our own healing, this is when we empower them to heal and learn to trust their own bodies and wisdom.
I wonder what that might create?
Welcome! I'm Karla, mother of three daughters through birth and adoption. I found this work because I needed it — in the early years of mothering my daughters, when I was giving everything and running on empty underneath.
For more than 15 years I've supported women of all ages through the thresholds that undo and reshape us — using Ayurveda, somatic practice, and deep accompaniment. I discovered this work in the first years of post adoption.
I keep returning to it because it’s the foundation for guiding me back to center and myself — through grief, loss, challenges, new seasons, and beginning again. I'm still practicing this too.
I want you to feel deeply rested and nourished. To remember your wisdom, your body’s intelligence, your aliveness. And to know that your vitality matters. So does the way you are held.
That's what this is for. That’s why I’m here.
To create spaces of healing, presence, and safety for our children and our communities,
the healing begins within us.
