Learning How to Thrive So Our Kids Can Too
Mothering through adoption asks a lot of us.
It invites us to learn, grow, adapt, and show up in ways we never imagined. To hold complexity. To stay curious. To support our children while navigating our own lives, relationships, transitions, and questions along the way.
You love fiercely and are devoted.
You've read the books, attended workshops, listened to podcasts–on the nervous system, separation, trauma, attachment, and how to create safety for a child who has experienced loss.
Many of us become experts in understanding and caring for everyone around us, while quietly losing connection with parts of ourselves.
Some days your mind races, your body aches and your soul feels…dull.
You've been the one doing the holding.
This is a place to be held.
Here you'll find a gentle place to feel your breath, reconnect with yourself, and return to the rhythms that help you feel more grounded, nourished, and whole.
You don't ever have to explain yourself. And I’m so glad you’re here.

Every event we host is designed with intention, from the atmosphere we create to the way each session flows.
Your depletion is not a personal failure.
The tiredness, the hormonal shifts, the feeling of always being on and feeling stuck in patterns — that's what happens when a woman's nervous system has been adapting and compensating for years without enough rhythm, rest, or space to metabolize what she's been holding.
Much of what we carry was never meant to be carried alone. Some of it belongs to family stories, cultural expectations, and the particular weight of loving children who have already known loss and whose own nervous systems may be vulnerable as a result.
Your body isn't failing you. It's been communicating with you–sending messages. And it is incredibly wise and knows how to restore itself, when given the right conditions.
There is nothing wrong with you, mama. And this is very, very workable.
Becoming a mother is one of life's most significant transitions, yet most of us are expected to move through it while caring for everyone else—with little acknowledgment of how much has changed or support for tending ourselves through it.
What if our children, regardless of what age they are now, could witness us fully inhabiting our lives?
Not surviving. Not managing. Present. Curious. Connected. Alive.
When we return to ourselves — again and again, through each season and threshold — we create new possibilities for ourselves and our children.
This is generational healing.
My approach to this work
Much of what you’ve been holding was never meant to be pushed through.
When there hasn’t been enough space–enough rhythm, rest, or room to process what you’ve been holding– it doesn’t simply disappear. It lives in the body and mind.
My work blends Ayurvedic wisdom, rhythmic living, and somatic practice to help you reconnect with your body’s innate intelligence, integrate life’s experiences and return to yourself.
It’s not done through force or fixing. We approach with curiosity, deep nourishment and nonjudgmental support.
You don’t need rescuing. You’re ready for a homecoming.
To create spaces of healing, presence, and safety for our children and our communities,
the healing begins within us.

Welcome! I'm Karla, mother of three daughters through birth and adoption, and I know what it is to hold everyone else while quietly losing the thread back to yourself.
For more than 15 years I've supported women through the thresholds that undo and reshape us — using Ayurveda, somatic practice, and deep accompaniment. I discovered this work in the first years of post adoption.
I keep returning to it because it’s the foundation for guiding me back to center and myself — through grief, loss, challenges, new seasons, and beginning again. I'm still practicing this too. Life moves in cycles. So do we.
I want you to feel deeply rested and nourished. To remember your wisdom, your body’s intelligence, your aliveness. And to know that your vitality matters. So does the way you are held.
That's what this is for. That’s why I’m here.
Each threshold carries an invitation:
Slow down. Let life catch up. Come back to yourself.
Most of us never learned how. Or we're afraid to stop long enough to find out.
This is where we begin — with where you are right now. With what your body, mind and heart has been carrying. We start with rhythms, rest, and nourishment that help you metabolize life rather than just push through it or override the whispers.
Over time, something shifts. The tiredness changes. The edges soften. Joy starts showing up in small, surprising ways — and you can actually feel it.
