Support for Metabolizing Life
You’ve learned how to support your child and their nervous system.
The spaces I create support you and yours.
Mothering through adoption is beautiful, sacred, and life-changing.
And sometimes, it’s also exhausting, overwhelming, and deeply tender.
You love fiercely. You carry a great deal…often quietly and unseen.
You prepared as best as you could.
You read the books, listened to the podcasts, learned about trauma, attachment, and how to create safety and connection for your child. You showed up. And you keep showing up with immense love and care.
And still, nothing fully prepares a woman for motherhood — especially mothering children who have already experienced great loss, transition, or adversity.
Many adoptive mothers are carrying far more than they were ever meant to hold alone while moving within a culture that leaves little space for rest, integration, grief, or repair.
Over time, the body begins speaking through exhaustion that sleep is unable to meet.
Digestive issues, tension patterns, emotional reactivity, anxiety humming beneath the surface or a quiet sense of disconnection. The mind races, while the heart feels both full and overwhelmed at the same time.
There is nothing wrong with you. Our bodies are always communicating.
Rooted in Ayurveda and woven with somatic guidance, nervous system support, and deep listening, this work helps you metabolize life more gently so your body, heart and soul can begin to catch up.
Together, we create space to reconnect with your rhythms, your body, your inner knowing, and the parts of you that may have been waiting a long time to be tended too.
When women are deeply supported, witnessed, nourished and connected to themselves, they have a greater capacity to create the healing, grounded spaces their children need too.

About Your Guide
Hey there. I’m Karla and I’m a mother through birth and adoption, and I know intimately what it feels like to care deeply for everyone else while quietly losing connection with yourself.
Years ago, although I was teaching yoga and supporting others, underneath I was exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, and depleted in ways I couldn’t explain.
Ayurveda and somatic healing changed the way I understood my body and my life. Rather than seeing myself as broken, I began understanding that my system had simply been carrying too much for too long without enough support, rhythm, or space to recover.
I continue teaching, practicing and living Ayurveda because this wisdom has held me through grief, loss, motherhood, and rebuilding my life from the inside out. The teachings have guided me in how to hold joy and sorrow simultaneously, how to listen to my body with curiosity instead of judgment, and how to return to center again and again.
For more than fifteen years, I’ve supported women through motherhood, grief, beauty and transition, through Ayurveda, yoga, somatic awareness, nervous system support, and deep accompaniment.
The through-line in all of my work is embodiment — and I’m here to accompany you as you come home to your whole self and inner knowing again.
These three amazing humans are big now and still inspire me! I believe healing and embodiment is generational work.
“I’ve been able to create some sustainable practices and habits that have really helped me to step into my authentic self, thrive and to become a much more grounded and responsive mother and partner."
--Jessica G, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Adoptive parent
“Working with Karla has helped me to be true to what was best for my own health. I’m already finding that as I receive restoration, and extend patience to myself, I have so much more patience and grace to extend to my family and those around me.” --Christa P

Though chances are pretty high your family is going to be super supportive of you doing a cleanse, chances are also pretty high that they don't really want to do it with you. Inside the seasonal cleanse guide you will find tons of delicious recipes that the whole family will really enjoy, and others that may not be everyone's favorite but are really quick to make for yourself while the kids chow down on Annie's Mac n' Cheese or a pot of black beans and rice. (it's all about balance). We'll also talk about ways to talk with your family and prepare.

Yes. All of the live meetings and any extras yoga/meditations sessions will be recorded and posted within 24 hours. Also, if you have a question you’d like me to address in a session but can’t be there live, you can send it to me beforehand.

You have an opportunity to CUSTOMIZE your cleanse according to what you need, and how much time you’ve got. For example, You might be an early retiree, living in that beach community with 11 hours a day to sit in meditation and move slowly and live on bone broth and oxygen for a week.
And for others.... You might have full time jobs or businesses to run, kids or parents your taking care of, or all of the above and still need fuel.
If you don't have room to take a day off and sip lemon water, journal and rest, it's all good. most of us don't. There are many many many recipes in the 10 day cleanse guide for juices, smoothies, soups, salads and entrees of all tastes, shapes and sizes to choose from. I WILL teach you about the traditional spices, herbs, and medicinal foods of Ayurvedic tradition.
I WILL teach you a number of tools for using spices to boost your digestion and improve gut health long term. But you don't have to do all of it. You only have to do what you're ready for. Usually your first cleanse sets you on a path where you're cleansing at least once (ideally twice) a year and each time you explore something new and let it evolve.
You get to assess where you're starting from, and decide what's going to ACTUALLY WORK FOR YOU, vs. what will be too much to commit to or what you don't have the energy for.
I'm here to help with that! And you'll have an awesome community to support you.
