For thousands of years, Ayurveda has taught that seasonal transitions are an invitation to slow down and reset.   Spring and Fall are especially potent times to gently cleanse through nourishing practices, to rekindle digestion and to restore rhythm in the body, mind and nervous system.

But the pace of modern life pulls us out of rhythm and sets up patterns that feed the dis-ease process.

My Story

Fourteen years ago, everything changed for me—my health, my mothering, my whole way of living. And it all began with an Ayurvedic cleanse I did so imperfectly.

That first reset taught me that you can’t metabolize life when you’re depleted. What the body truly needs—is warmth, rhythm, rest, and deep nourishment, not more pushing , depriving or deprivation.

At the time, I was teaching yoga and mothering three young kids while co-owning a studio. On the outside I looked “healthy-ish,” but inside I was dealing with allergies, side effects of the medications, poor sleep, digestive issues, hormone imbalances, bloodwork that was "off" and frequent doctor visits and tests to see what was "wrong".. That first cleanse gave me a new way to live—with habits that supported my body, mind, and spirit.

Since then, I’ve returned to seasonal cleansing every spring and fall. It’s been my anchor through both everyday stresses and some profound transitions in recent years: of parenting, loss, grief, divorce, creating a new home, income pathways and menopause. Each time, I am reminded that we are inherently supported by seasons and cycles that guide us back home to ourselves and our wisdom.

Frequently asked questions...

What will i eat?
FIRST-- we understand that a stressed or dysregulated system has a hard time digesting anything---so if it's your first or you've been navigating A LOT in life, your focus might be that how and when you eat---and not necessarily the what.  A lot can shift with allow space between meals and slowing down so your body knows food is coming in and it's time to put energy on digestion.  Also, the deeply nourishing self-care practices that support your reset!

And...focus of the reset is to STOKE THE DIGESTIVE FIRE...so we favor things warm, spiced, and boosting to our immunity.  We always are looking at seasonal foods and what might be growing locally as nature is usually trying to feed you.  There is also an option to incorporate a nutritionally complete Indian stew called “kitchari" which offers simplicity.  Plus delicious soups, salads, juices and smoothies that take minutes to prepare. There's room for creativity within simplicity.
There is no harsh fasting, deprivation or long list of supplements, chemicals or expensive projects.  Your breath, your kitchen, your bathroom, your hands and nature are your tools.   We forget just how powerful these are....and a reset helps us remember. 

What if i have food allergies?
Dietary restrictions?  I have a hands on experience and approach to this program and am here to support you!  When I started my first cleanse I didn't have "food allergies" but I could not tolerate, and was told to eliminate, wheat, gluten, dairy, soy and eggs based on testing.  My kids also had so many sensitivities.  (and this was before they made easy "gluten-free flours, recipes and products."   I don't have any sensitivities anymore and I use  seasonal and Ayurvedic wisdom and intuition to know if/when it might work.  Ayurveda sees you as unique and guides you to knowing yourself and what you and your body  need.  It's easier  when you've take time to purify and reset your nervous system and digestion.   You'll learn to listen and trust your body--even while following any guidelines necessary for your personal health.   I make no claims of what the outcome will be, but I've seen amazing shifts in clients even when they make no changes to "what" they eat, but experiment with how and when and include replenishing self-care practices.

Food allergies/sensitivities
No problem I'll help you work around them.  Most everything can be modified. 
Vegan
We have vegan alternatives listed for all recipes.
Gluten-free
All of our recipes in the cleanse happen to be gluten-free!  

**Remember this is about nourishment, replenishment and rejuvenation.  And everything is choice.  I'll be here to support you. 
Will i have to make separate meals for my family?
Though chances are pretty high your family is going to be super supportive of you doing a cleanse, chances are also pretty high that they don't really want to do it with you.   Inside the seasonal cleanse guide you will find tons of delicious recipes that the whole family will really enjoy, and others that may not be everyone's favorite but are really quick to make for yourself while the kids enjoy their Annie's Mac n' Cheese or a pot of black beans and rice.   If you're caring for anyone, remember you're here to take care of you so you feel more alive, connected and centered as a caregiver.  We'll also talk about ways to talk with your family and prepare.
I'm traveling, have to keep my regular work schedule or can't make all of the live calls.  Will this be ok?
Yes.  In an ideal world all would line up and we all could schedule 11 days in spring to focus our self care, cleansing, and rejuvenation. But that’s not possible for most of us, especially if you're caregiving kids or aging parents.  S
WORK:  So, I do recommend not scheduling extra activities and carving out space to rest and relax as much as you can during the cleanse, it is designed to be done while going about your normal day-to-day life and activities.  A
ll calls and sessions  will be recorded and available  within 24 hours.  I also could encourage you to engage in the community group to not feel isolated and really lean into support. 

 **If you have a question you’d like me to address in a session but can’t be there live, you can send it to me beforehand.  You can also ask between sessions in the community. 

TRAVEL:  Although the cleanse is scheduled on specific dates, you can adjust your own cleanse dates for various reasons, and that is totally fine and we can discuss that.   I have adapted my cleanse for travel in the past and can support. 
How much of my time is this going to take?
You have an opportunity to CUSTOMIZE your cleanse according to what you need, and how much time you’ve got. For example,  You might be an early retiree, living in that beach community with 11 hours a day to sit in meditation and move slowly and live on bone broth and oxygen for a week.
And for others.... You might have full time jobs or businesses to run,  kids or parents your taking care of,  or all of the above and still need fuel.
There are many recipes in the 11 day cleanse guide for juices, smoothies, soups, salads and entrees of all tastes, shapes and sizes to choose from.  If time is an issue, kitchari can be a great option--maybe with an easy breakfast recipe from the guide. I WILL teach you about the traditional spices, herbs, and medicinal foods of Ayurvedic tradition. I WILL teach you a number of tools for using spices to boost your digestion and improve gut health long term. But you don't have to do all of it. You only have to do what you're ready for.   Usually your first cleanse sets you on a path where you're cleansing at least once (ideally twice) a year and each time you explore something new and let it evolve.   I've witnessed that alot can shift in 11 days even with a few simple changes. 

You get to assess  to all the resources. and decide what's going to ACTUALLY WORK FOR YOU given where you're at right now vs. what will be too much to commit to or what you don't have the energy for.
