I know that so much about life was hard and unpredictable in 2020. And for many, perhaps most, it still feels that way most days. Uncertain. Lives disrupted, kids at home, education online or returning in masks, separated from aging parents, injustices exposed, grief, death, anxiety, depression, and more has continued to flood our awareness through world and community news, and perhaps in your own circle of friends and family.
In many ways, we are emerging. And you may feel the uncertainty of that too.
Life is inherently uncertain, but this past year has really brought that to surface. Or maybe you were already navigating transitions, illness, loss, grief, divorce, growing family, kids leaving home, parenting parents, old traumas, or chronic stress.
You've been making "healthy choices" but not feeling so healthy. You may be overwhelmed or underslept. and exploring therapies and self-help. You've read, you've tried

Root Rise THRIVE
In Root Rise THRIVE you will receive facilitation and guidance to help you restore your energy, connect with your inherent worth, own your power, and evolve your habits to support the life that you want to live.
Our Spring 2021 session includes 11-weeks to kick start your transformation, self-care habits, and tap into your own resilience and self-healing.
You are evolution in action and you will always be evolving your own care. This program offers a strong foundation and you'll get the sense you are coming home to self.
Ayurvedic wisdom teachings and self-care practices changed my life, my parenting, and how I navigate life's transitions. This time-tested, ancient wisdom is designed to help you know what helps you thrive and age with grace. We'll dive into the a feminine approach and connect to the divine within as we go.
You'll learn nourishing self-care practices, explore morning and evening routines that work for you, simplify your diet, find ways to move your body that you love and support healing, and learn how to "digest your life", all in a trusted circle of other women who care deeply and live into possibilities.
You'll learn and experience how to be your own best caregiver of body and energy. This will naturally carry over into those for whom you care. Along the way, you'll pick up some dynamic energy tools that will help you create more ease in the moment to moment, breath to breath living to experience inner freedom.
This journey is one that works from the inside out, outside in, sideways and all around as you'll also gain clarity on what you desire and what gets in the way of receiving that. Our live calls are powerful and this is where we bust through repeating patterns, limiting beliefs and all the lies we've picked up along the way that get in the way of thriving--individually and collectively. In addition to live group calls, you'll also get one-on-one time with me.

Time Investment: Total course length is 11-weeks
Of course, YOU get to choose how much you put into this experience. The lessons are short, calls 60 minutes on Tuesdays 12:30pm EST (and recorded), you can begin most practices with just a few minutes/day. Average is 2 hours/week.
Financial Investment: Membership in the Root Rise THRIVE coaching program is $950(3 payments of $325) EARLY DISCOUNT GOES THROUGH APRIL 17TH. ($750 in FULL or 3x $260)

What will the 11-week sessions look like?
Over the course of 11 weeks, we'll build your foundation for connected, easeful, vibrant living. We'll explore the medicine within you for the breath to breath, moment to moment, day to day, month to month, season to season self-care. Here is the flow of our 11-week transformative experience:

MEDICINE WITHIN YOU 7. Body Care/Body Love Rituals --graceful aging through caring for the senses 8. Pelvic Health/Feminine Embodiment 9. Generational patterns and healing through connection/ Meditative Practices -open up time, space, ease, & connection to self and source

***Note that I consider this course a co-creative process with those who choose it. So, I remain open changing flow within the structure. At times, we may change the order to cultivate self-care required for our ever-changing world and the dynamic energy of the group.
CAN I WORK 1-ON-1 WITH KARLA?
Root Rise THRIVE includes some individual coaching sessions with me (a 45-minute session at the beginning of each cycle plus two additional 15-minute focused sessions to boost your breakthroughs.
AND you may discover a desire to go deeper, further. Great! We can certainly discuss the kinds of sessions you'd like to explore. This includes any of the energetic healing sessions, yoga, coaching, trauma-informed parent mentoring, and more. It may be that Root Rise THRIVE becomes for you a springboard into deeper reflection and work or you would like more accountability and support. If that feels like a good fit, let's connect! I see you. I believe in you. I get transitions and am currently navigating a few of my own. I parent three amazing human beings and we are trying to find our way through this new virtual learning/working world where on any given day 5 laptops may be buzzing. My parents are aging and we are navigating my mother's life with Alzheimer's. My partner was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 3 years ago.

Yup. That about sums it up. Joy and grief - jumbled together in ways that call me to center more and more each day.
And as a parent of both black and white children, I am always learning what it means to be vulnerable and engage in hard, and often uncomfortable, conversations about race, parenting, culture, and my inherited white advantage. If I am not taking care of me, living from center, it’s challenging for me to stay present and not react at times when my own biases are called out. So, I am committed to the kind of self-care that cultivates connection over separation and judgment.
Oh, and I love a good smoothie with avocados, cocoa powder, and lots of greens. And growing flowers in our garden, hiking at the river with my kiddos, and eating the quarantine bakery goods my girls have taken to creating!
These 3 amazing human beings call me Mom. And they inspire what I do. They are now tween/teens - still amazing and inspiring! According to Ayurveda (and emerging science), we carry 5-7 generations in our DNA. Ayurveda also teaches that we inherit our mother’s nervous system and the undigested thoughts and experiences - their unfulfilled longings. If your mother’s nervous system is not something you necessarily want to emulate, it's ok. We don’t have to blame and shame our mothers or ourselves. We can simply know that we are all carrying the inheritance of the past and we can move out of that, no matter what. The healing starts with us and reaches into generations past and future. I take responsibility for my own inner work and deep healing so that my children and grandchildren don't have to do it for me. We get to LIVE fully awake, alive, present, connected, free, and full - and we can share that gift with others.
