Once I made a few shifts, I saw how my care was key to caring for others. I got rid of allergies, bloating, constipation, mood swings, and balanced hormones. I had more strength, energy, confidence and presence in all things. Oh yeah...and when I added some energetic tools and questions, I dropped a ton of judgment and gained way more allowance in all areas of life. .And those shifts keep on giving and evolving. I specialize in working with families who have experienced what I refer to as life-disrupting moments in past or present and feel like life is not so easy, self-care is not so easy. Some are big disruptions, others may seem very insignificant, but any experiences and emotions can get stuck in our body and leave us a little dull and disconnected.
I'm not sure why, but we seem to be wired to categorize and compare our traumas and experiences in our own life and against the experiences of others--one way or another. Perhaps we cling to the story of victim, limitation, blame, etc. and think it will always be this way...until one day we decide ENOUGH! Sometimes we brush it off because we think "it's no big deal" compared to someone else we know, or a different experience we've moved through. But comparison never creates more. It carries an added burden of judgment. Judgment wreaks havoc on the body. When life events, especially big and small traumas, are not properly "digested", these events gets stuck in the body the body and become toxic--the same way undigested food can become toxic in the body. With emotions and events--the stickiness is the story. These stories and experiences can accumulate and create congestion in the physical body, the emotional body, the mind body, and more.
We are more than just physical, so when we align healthier habits for the body (food, movement, sleep, how we start our day), it not only clears physical channels (like digestion, elimination, endocrine, respiratory, circulatory, but it also clears the more subtle channels (energy) so we can experience greater awareness, deep healing, and consciousness (or awake living). When we create healthier daily habits, all things that have accumulated can begin to "digest" leaving you lighter, brighter, calmer and feeling more like YOU! How does it get any better than that?
I created Root Rise Thrive to bring together the dynamic tools and practices I have studied, trained in, experimented with that have created dramatic shifts in my health--body, mind, being and emotions since I decided to up level my own self-care.
(My moment of "this has got to change" came in one of my sleepless nights. Completely fatigued, but unable to sleep, I got out of bed and moved to the internet searching the very long list of my symptoms. I stumbled onto a course that simply lit me up and I knew I had to take it. It changed my health, sleep, relationships, and life! I used to wish I had known earlier...but I now think what we seek shows up when we are ready to receive it. I was finally ready to choose and receive something different.)
Ease in the not-so-easy moments of life is totally possible! (I am a trauma-informed parent through birth and adoption, my parter has stage four cancer, and my mother is experiencing memory loss and Alzheimer's. We've experienced some major transitions in our life, location, and work in recent years. The habits and tools I share in ROOT RISE THRIVE, are the ones I use day to day, moment to moment, breath to breath to LIVE WELL and embrace all of life. EASE does not mean EASY! But when your daily habits line up with bigger rhythms, you feel supported and have the awareness to know what you and your body need to be present for you...and others.

Root, Rise, Thrive is a unique, holistic coaching program that combines simple techniques of yoga and Ayurveda (an ancient healing system), with cutting edge habit changing practices and energy tools and practices. It will help you make small, sustainable changes in your life. My approach in coaching fuses all of my life, education, and experiences to meet you where you are at. My aim is always to empower you will tools and possibilities that will work for you, create bigs shifts, and evolve over time.
Bottom line...these habits rooted in ancient wisdom really work! The practices are actually quite simple and I'm sure you know many of them. But Ayurveda and health isn't just about knowledge. it's about practice and developing habits that align your daily rhythms with Nature's creative pulse. And before we even dive into this, I will help you get really clear on your energetic priorities--the energies and desires you are asking for in your body, life, and relationships. Knowing this will be your backdrop and guide you when resistance surfaces. Knowledge and naming priorities is important, but change comes from taking action!

When we come together in a group, our capacities for transformation, change, and moving beyond limitations into possibilities are heightened. You realize you are not alone. Live class weekly (75-minutes) where we'll discuss the weekly focus and have plenty of time for live coaching/facilitation where you can ask your questions, troubleshoot, and experience breakthroughs, inspire and be inspired. Recordings for all classes will be made available if you miss a call or desire to listen to it again.
Short audio or video offering background on the week's focus and how to ask questions that open you up to possibilities in connecting with bigger rhythms and receiving from ancient wisdom in a way that works for you that is easy, fun , and will create the most for you.
